Buffer Zone: Iconic Work of the Lumi World

LUMI WORLD

Though farming is the main activity in Lumi World, there is more to it than just sowing and harvesting. Lumi World also has its own share of non-agricultural activities. The Dream City is an urban landscape that has been built exclusively for non-farming activities and other enterprises of Lumiers.

The Dream City consists of four different zones, each comprising its own specific functions and available activities. Today, we look at the Buffer Zone

Buffer Zone: Icons and Industries

As evident from its name, the Buffer Zone is the outermost zone of the Dream City and acts like a buffer that separates the city from the farmlands.

Consisting of big industries and other large scale constructions, the Buffer Zone is a relatively low population density area due to the nature of its activities. If you were to visit the Buffer Zone, you would find many different activities and operations that one would expect any large urban city to have as support. This includes:

  • Power Generation Plants: From wind to solar energy, these expansive power units harness nature to provide the electrical demands of the Dream City. Lumiers have long abandoned fossil fuels and other sources of energy that harm the environment and now only use renewable energy.
  • Waste Treatment: Waste is a by-product of any settlement, small or large. Since Dream City is a never-ending urban city, it requires dedicated waste treatment plants, both solid and water. This is to ensure that Lumi World remains a clean planet.
  • Animal Farming: Lumirium infused plants today have very long lives and give extremely high yields, bringing an end to global famine and hunger. However, rearing animals as a hobby still exists and animal farming is limited to the Buffer Zone. People can go to these farms to buy pets or visit the zoos to enjoy the exotic beasts from far-flung lands.
  • Icons of the World: Iconic constructions and other marvels of nature have always interested Lumiers, even before the world was a paradise in the past. People from both the farms and Dream City can visit these icons. Sightseeing can not only be done alone, but Lumiers can bring in their friends and partners along.

VR: From 3D to Immersive Buffer Zone

Initially, the Buffer Zone, like all of the Lumi World games, will be a 3D exploratory platform that users will be able to access and enjoy using devices like their computer and mobile screens. However, with the long term plans to create a virtual and augmented reality structure, users will be able to immerse themselves in the different activities of the Buffer Zone, such as visiting iconic buildings using their VR and AR goggles, moving within the room and even walking up to any point of interest.

With the ability to buy land in the Dream City, players not only have the option to visit the places offered in the Buffer Zone but to acquire land here and start building their own businesses. You could build a power plant and sell energy to the city, or even run your own zoo and charge people for visits. The possibilities are endless.
