LUMI WORLD

Lumi World is an NFT based game that allows anyone to join and enjoy the deep and rich storyline with different activities. In the alternate world of Lumi, one of the primary activities is farming. Using the Play to Earn concept, users can take part in the agricultural activity, planting and farming different produce and then subsequently selling these for profits.

But there is more to it than just growing on the land. The process is simple, engaging and yet carries its own level of complexity.

The Farms and its Components

The Lumi World game is an open ecosystem and players are encouraged to use the expansive environment to make the best of their farming capabilities and environment. Players can either opt for farming on their own or join a group of farmers to combine their efforts and resources to create a true commercial farming system.

Scale of Farming

Each player will have Home Garden, no matter if they choose to go for a large-scale activity or not. Though smaller in size, it is still an open ecosystem and users can decide upon how much they want to expand it in size. Since they are the sole owners, they will have total control over the decision makings, such as the type of land, the overall size and what they want to grow in their Home Garden.

Joining forces with other farmers you can use your farm in conjunction with your teams’. You can also expand your farming activity by acquiring more land. One major change you will have is that you will be more specific on what types of crops or plants you can grow as it becomes a team effort. This allows players to grow large scale agriculture of their preferred type and grab a niche.

With your land, you also get your own home on the farm, which you can decorate according to your taste, putting in a touch of personalization.

Farming Lands

Like the real world, the farmlands in Lumi come in a variety of types, each one specific for a purpose. There are 20 types of lands, ranging from the very fertile Magic Land to the extremely unfertile Moon Land. The quality and type of land will have a big impact on the type of plant or crop you can grow. Fertile lands have a tendency to give more yield and unfertile lands are hard to cultivate. However, with time and effort, bad lands can be improved upon to grow better.

Seeds

Different types of seeds can be bought in the Lumi World to sow and grow on the lands. The seeds are purchased through a game of chance, where every time you will need to spin, with a random seed box being assigned to you. There are different classes of seeds, just like the lands. High yield seeds will go well with fertile lands, while hard to grow seeds are best suited for unfertile lands.

That being said, it is not a bad option to have bad quality seeds and unfertile lands. There is a high chance of exceptional yields when the right set of bad quality seeds is sown in an unfertile land, giving your an advantage over better lands.

While seeds are categorized on the basis of their quality, they are broadly set in two different sets, depending on their growth and what they produce.

Short Day seeds let farmers grow different shrubs, ornamental plants, fruit-bearing trees, mushrooms, crops and even aquatic plants. Once grown to maturity, players can harvest these and sell them into the game.

The other type of seed is called Long Day. While you can only grow plants and crops with Short Day seeds that require you to buy more seeds for the next sowing cycle, Long Day ones are ancient tree seeds that you can grow to plants and harvest their fruits. With these, you as a player will have the option to farm the produce and sell it in the game or similar to Short Day seeds produce, sell them in the marketplace.

Minting NFTs with Factory

Any product you have from your farming can be converted into profits in two different ways. The first is where you can sell the products directly in the game, set against a specific price and rate. This lets you earn the in-game $MiCoin, which you can then use to buy more seeds for the next farming cycle, or in a number of different ways within the game such as character clothes, more land or head over to the Dream City to buy real estate, start their own business or partake in the different events and activities.

Alternatively, you can collect your harvest and head over to the Factory, an international marketplace with different players who are willing to buy produce. You can also collect your items and use them to mint new NFTs. The more rare your products are the more chances of you producing hard to get NFTs, allowing you to grow evermore rare plants and crops, or sell them for a higher profit.

But What Sets Lumi Farms Apart from the Rest?

Ask any person on the reason for their favorite game and one of the most often quoted reasons will be the thrill and the excitement that is done through engaging the player. Many NFT games are available today that brag about being engaging, offering a better environment and other aspects that, according to the game team, makes their NFT project the best.

But look at any NFT game today that has been around for a few months and you will witness a mass exodus, especially when there is another game launch. So why does this happen when the game developers are claiming to be the next big thing, only for the hot air to blow out?

The answer lies in a few facts:

  • Gameplay

Most blockchain games using NFTs have a lot to go before coming even near mainstream games in terms of gameplay. Even the largest NFT based games today are nothing more than moving the traditional card-based games to the digital world, where the player does nothing more than just make a few taps on the screen and the whole round is decided by a smart contract, with the winner announced.

  • Graphics

Then there is the issue of graphics. User interactive NFT farming games do exist, but they are simple in graphics, usually something from what you would see a decade or two back and quickly lose the appeal.

  • Limited Variety of Crops and Plants

Decentralized farming games do exist, but with very limited crops or plants that you can harvest. This means that over a short period of time, the repetitive tasks would seem to be tedious and create boredom. In Lumi World, the different types of lands, seeds and weather conditions that can affect your crop and its yield, farming is an enjoyable task that will keep you engaged.

  • Beyond Farming

In the real world, even if you love what you are doing, you will eventually get bored if you don’t have anything else to do. The monotony of growing and farming would take the pleasure out of it and you would seek other things to pass your time.

But why do the developers fail to notice this? Most developer teams either focus on the money making aspect (which is good, but not the ultimate reason for playing a game) and the fact that they are so focused on producing a game that they think is good that they don’t even realize that their target market is not like them.

We at Lumi World, are acutely aware of these reasons and our team members, having different expertise and experience in the mainstream gaming and blockchain area have created the open-world game and its different farming features to counter these very reasons. Lumi World has all of the essential elements you need, such as a variety in farming, a whole metaverse and the metropolitan Dream City where you can spend time to enjoy the meta life or even expand your business empire. Whenever you need a change of pace, Lumi World offers a host of minigames that are engaging, challenging and payout.

Taking in all of these factors, Lumi World has that right set of characteristics that not only sets it apart from other farming games but is the logical choice to turn towards.
